Terms of service
A readable place to explain the relationship between your service and its users.
1. About these terms
These are sample terms for a website template. They do not define a live service agreement. Replace them with terms appropriate to your business and have them reviewed before publishing.
2. The service
Describe what your service provides, who may use it, and any eligibility requirements. Explain which features are available in each plan and how changes to the service will be communicated.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
Set out responsibilities for account security and authorized use. Describe prohibited conduct, how misuse is handled, and the process for suspending or closing an account.
4. Plans and billing
Document your actual billing periods, taxes, renewals, cancellations, and refund policy. Prices on this template are illustrative. There is no connected checkout, and selecting a plan does not create a subscription.
5. Content and ownership
Explain ownership of the service and of material users submit. Define any permissions needed to operate the service, including how third-party content or AI-generated output is handled.
6. Responsibilities and limitations
Replace this section with provisions appropriate to your service, including warranties, limitations of liability, and any mandatory rights that remain unaffected. Do not treat this placeholder as legal advice.
7. Ending the relationship
Describe how a user can end their subscription or close their account, what happens to their data, and which provisions continue to apply.
8. Contact and governing terms
Add your legal entity, contact information, applicable jurisdiction, and dispute process. Specify the effective date and how updates to the terms will be shared.
